The proofing basket is like a dough display case and brings you a little closer to making perfect bread the traditional way. Its main purpose is to let your dough sit in the best possible conditions while it gains the ideal shape.
Lay your piece of dough in the middle and cover it with a clean cloth. While basking in this textile shelter, which protects it from air currents, the dough will grow as if by magic. And thanks to the lining, you don't have to worry any more about dough sticking to the container while it bakes. If any dough sticks to the cloth, all you have to do is take it off and put it in the washing machine.
Without the cloth cover, your dough will have wicker circles from the basket, creating a pattern on the bread. Its round shape is ideal for making perfect balls, which can be baked in our Bread Cloche or Round Bread Baker.
